REIKI
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a simple healing method to which the practitioner/healer is attuned to by a Master of Reiki, which allows you to be the conduit for healing energy to flow through into the person who has given permission for healing. Reiki vitalises your life force and balances the energies in your body. The Giver of Reiki uses their hands to channel the energy, which is done hands on and hands off over some areas; it can also be done distantly with the receiver's permission. No energy is used by the giver of Reiki – they are just the channel. Chakras can also be balanced alone, or during a full session of Reiki healing. Sessions can last anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes.
The benefits of Reiki healing
Reiki is embracing in its effects because it involves the mind, body, and soul and encourages you to bring all aspects of your being into harmonious balance. Remember, the giver does not transmit personal energy –they are the conduit, and they channel the energy to where it needs to go to support the receiver's individual needs, and it fosters self-healing.

Why did I decide to be attuned to Reiki?
During a time where I was raising two small children, working full time, and working towards a BA Honours Degree with The Open University I became pretty unwell, I talked a bit about this in “The about me” section on my website. It was my Bowen therapist at the time who said he thought I ought to be attuned to Reiki as he felt it would be really helpful as I could also work on myself, and he recommended a lovely lady who I consider to be my Reiki master. My therapist was right, and since beginning my journey with Reiki I haven't looked back. I have even recently just completed my master training so can attune people to this beautiful energy work.
I offer various treatments, including: Chakra balancing, full Reiki healing session, healing attunements, psychic surgery, and Reiki Degree attunements right through to Masters.

A bit of history of Usui Reiki
Dr Mikao Usui was the founder of Reiki, who lived until the end of the 19th century. He was the director and Christian priest of a small university in Kyoto, Japan. He was asked one day by some of his senior students if he believed in the healing miracles of Christ and whether or not he could demonstrate such a healing, but he had no answer for this. Ultimately, this led him on a new journey where he gave up his position and went on a quest to study the healing methods of Christ. During his quest and study, he searched specific information on the methods of Buddha and spent a considerable amount of time in a Buddhist monastery.
